Caleb Williams: The Next Big Thing in Football

From humble beginnings to the cusp of stardom

Caleb Williams is a name that has been on the lips of every football fan since he burst onto the scene as a freshman at Oklahoma in 2021. The 20-year-old quarterback has already achieved more than most players his age, and he is only just getting started.

Williams' journey to the NFL

Williams was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in the DMV area. He began playing football at a young age, and it quickly became his passion. By the time he was 10 years old, he knew that he wanted to play in the NFL.

Williams attended Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., where he was a standout quarterback. He led his team to two WCAC championships and was named the MVP of the championship game both times. He was also named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of D.C. in 2019.

Williams was heavily recruited by many of the top college football programs in the country. He ultimately decided to attend the University of Oklahoma, where he played for two seasons. In 2021, he was named the starting quarterback for the Sooners and led them to an 11-2 record and a berth in the College Football Playoff.

After the 2021 season, Williams transferred to the University of Southern California (USC). In his first season with the Trojans, he led them to an 11-1 record and a Pac-12 championship. He was also a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

Williams is now considered to be one of the best quarterbacks in college football. He is expected to be selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he has the potential to be a franchise-changing player.
